Why did you choose to focus on the outer ring?
Instead of on the Blue Angels logo at the bottom of the dial?

I didn't want the dials to be in focus because I didn't want to be able to read them thus giving it a sence of mystery like "huh I wounder what all those dials do" I wanted to do anouther one with a smaller aperture to get everything in focus but it was rather dark and there was no way I could hold the camera steady for the extended shutter speed. still working on getting a tripod
