    Image really has potential, but it doesn't work for a few reasons;

    - composition (tree and bench "glued" together).
    - distracting bright white background
    - flat colors, blue cast (!), blurry (colors in general seem to be incorrect)
    - the viewer keeps wondering what's to see when you sit on that bench. Not all "bench" shots have that need, this one has in my opinion.

    The bench has very interesting shapes and colors! It's a pitty that these are a bit lost in the shot. I would go up closer, a different camera position. Those "back straight, camera pointing slightly downwards, zoon in/out" positions are getting a bit boring don't you think?

    Hi JoeD

    Thanks for your comments .

    I must agree with the color , i had some problems with my last few shots - was playing around with the settings on the camera . Try to fix it on photoshop , but obviously not a great job .
    I had that blue cast in some of my previous shots as well . Don't know what i did wrong there ?
    I think i made the photo too small as well .
    Didn't think to put someone one the bench . I will give that a try next time !
    Another postition to take the shot will maybe take out the " tree and bench glue ".
    Thanks again JoeD , this was very good critique that i can get something out !

    Regards
    james

    My pleasure James, but it was not so much my urge to see someone on the bench when I made the comment "about what's to see". The point I was trying to make is that this view can make the bench look stronger, even with nobody on it. But every situation is different. It's just an idea you might consider useful next time when you see another bench.
