Hmm. Her nationality makes for a very different look!

    Good points are:

    - nice colorful skin. I like the way you leaned towards the warm tones.
    - hair is alive! Great that it doesn't fade out.
    - eyes, and reflections (but more on that next)
    - really like the burst effect behind her.

    Areas not quite super:

    - you did a good job overall in preventing hot spots, but I still think I see a few developing on her shoulder, eye-nose connection point, and here and there. Hard to beat all of them, I know.
    - not sure how she's cut off at the top of her head. Artist license makes it acceptable.
    - her eyes, while beautiful and mysterious, don't seem to be directly looking at the camera. Am I off base? She has different eyes, so that may be confusing me.
    - the light reflections in her eyes also seem off somehow: they both seem to be on the outside areas of the eyes, instead of originating from the same light. Again, am I nuts?
    - the hand on her head looks a tad posed/not really doing anything.

I think the positives outweigh the negatives here though, so nice work.

I like the shine in skin though..just enough but not too much... pretty popular in high fashion . She is actually tanned like that.... didn't do any PP work since her skin is flawless.

sample of shine in skin look that I really like in high fashion. Diffferent light setup

I think it's just my style of shooting .. I like cropping heads when I do this landscape close portrait shots.... I think I read too much fashion magazines and beauty ads. lol

I think you are thrown off by the position of the lights.... there are actually 2 lights and a reflector

Withe regards to the pose...she is holding her hair up to prevent the hair falling down her face... she was doing that and I said, "freeze... I like that"...then click.

    thanks G
