This was my favorite from the shoot. It was somewhat by accident cause i stood over her to block the sun and in doing so i created a whole different color scheme with my shadow compaired to the others. Any suggestions on what to do to make it better, or maybe shoot it different next time?
That is a tough contrast difference between her hair and her face for a camera to deal with. Perhaps a low mounted side reflector or some fill flash would bring out the detail in the hair without making her skin any brighter (her left cheek looks almost blown out).
I'm big into close and unbalanced crops so I might remove a fair amount from the left of the image (her right) to get rid of all that grass and even some of her right shoulder so her hair touches the left edge of the frame. For one thing that would get her eye out of the dead center of the image.......
Nice, and I agree about the cheek being a bit bleached-out, but perhaps that can be fixed. However, when it comes to centering--or not centering--I'm a little more ambivalent than others, I guess. As long as the center of the picture does not fall squarely between her eyes, or on the tip of her nose, I'd say it's okay. And, anyway, I think the grass and her checkered dress straps add a nice touch.
