    Barfly - need help

Going through some random grab shots from the other evening and stumbled upon this one. There *is* a great photo in here somewhere, I'm just having trouble composing it correctly to bring it out. We had dinner at this place Saturday night, and it has a rich fascinating history. The shot was taken in the bar, a separate building across from the restaurant (both nestled on a private island) by simply placing the camera on the table and pressing the shutter.

If anyone is interested in taking a stab at cropping/processing shoot me a PM w/ your e-mail and I'll send a copy of the full size file.

Yep, lots to ponder... the guys leaving, the empty glasses, her reflection in the mirror, the 5 or 6 different kinds of light, all the empty tables and of course that intense stare while the rest of people in the room whirl around her like she doesn't exist. (When I first saw this on my monitor I immediately thought of the series of album covers for Led Zeppelin's "In through the out door"

ok, i would do something like this. I cropped a little, also went in to the curves panel and took the mid tones in the red section out of the pic. I also adjusted a slight tilt, using the pole to the right of the lady.

    I like what leels did.
Might want to crop out that light bulb but I'm not sure.

I like what Leels did also. The only other thing I would do is crop out most of the light above her head and leave just the glow of the light. I wouldn't get rid of it all together but as it is the light is distracting to me, Jeff

Good job with the edit LeeIs,

I agree about cloning out that bright light. My opinion...I actually prefer the B/W in this case.
Great mood, lightplay, movement and,her stand-off stare pulls you in.Good one Jet'

Leels, what you've got is better than anything I came up with, though I'm thinking Frog and Grandpaw may be right about that forward most light. I appreciate your offer to help, and your ideas will be the starting point for any further changes. I think I just need to stare at this one a bit more...

thanks for the kind words, Rick
