    Back 40 Palace

Found this place in the middle of a ploughed farmers field. Definitely a fixer-upper.

I like the colours in this photo even though on my monitor I think it could do with a bit more saturation to bring out that terrific sky. I do like the awkward angles you've shot it at, adds to the photo.

This was a shot that I'd been looking at a lot lately. I liked it but the scan was less than perfect and so I kept brushing it aside.
Here's a before and after of the same shot.

I like the effect of your wide abgle and distortion. At first I was concerned with your cutting off the other corner of the subject, but I think all in all it works best like this. great subject and composition.

Yeah, I was a little concerned that it was too tight. But in the end I wanted the structure to dominate the composition and to maximize the distortion I had to get in close.
    Glad you like it.

An unusual angle on the composition but very simple and this is what makes it work so well for me.
A little darkening on my monitor made it perfect for me.
    A beautiful little photograph.

    as is

great shot... I think the post processing you did added to the feel.very artsy feel to it. the angle, the colors, the look of almost a watercolor effect---all come together for a very nice shot

This is a neat subject. When I first looked at it, I thought this would be a good
spot for one of gahspidy's, "a view from within series" shots.
    Nice shot!
