    Atmosphere at Loch Lomond

    HI all,

This is not one of mine, but i told a friend i would get some feedback on it for him, like me, he is fairly new to this...
this was a spare of the moment snap shot in scotland with fairly primitive equipment.

    Thoughts would be great!

    thanks..

I like the overall picture, shifting the horizone line away from the center would be nice -- it could be perked up some in PS to bring out more contrast and color. A very nice picture, tell your friend they are definitely on the right track!

I agree. There is definitely not enough contrast here, as well as the issue with the horison. If it were mine I would crop off some of the bottom and see how that looked... the mountains in the distance are very nice. I find the colors pleasant and cool. Good work.

Well, some kind of fence on left side of the photo absolutely doesn't fit the overall picture. Plus, taking pictures of both sky and land in one image is meaningless, you will never get clear image - neither sky nor land will be enough bright, just like in your egzample. Unless under very sunny weather (sun has to be behind you).
