    April Showers

The old saying goes "April showers bring May flowers". This photograph was taken on April 30th so I guess the bloom was a little ahead of time, but the showers were there for sure. This is another one with the 105mm hand held and on a very overcast and wet morning.

    Hey OT,

That is a nice image with great detail. The focus is sharp and DOF does a nice job isolating the subject. On my monitor, it looks a tad dark. Otherwise, it's all good. I might have played with putting the flower in the upper right a bit more so more stalk showed, but that may not improve anything.

    Cheers,

This is a beautiful shot. The colors looks great on my monitor and I love the sharp details. The droplets really enhance this image. Great shot ! I'd print it and frame it.

    Dear OT,

I like the shape of the flower, and the water droplets. They make a nice curve. The background is a bit dark for this lovely flower though. A great photo.

    OT,

Nice shot. A little cliche (water droplets) but nevertheless, a great shot. My one critique however would be at the very top of the flower, there seems to be some unfocused/lack of DOF happening, which seems a tad off for me. Other than that, I love the colors and a great feel to it!

    Very effective shooting,

    Jared

Another top notch shot OT. I'll bet your wife will love sharing this one.

    Re: April Showers

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. With the comming of Spring it seem my photography is gettng out of hand. Want to have a camera in my hands all the time. This image was done in a mall parking lot while I was waiting on my wife who of course was shopping. Even with the rain and the poor light that morning I was pretty well pleased with the results. I intensionally darkened the background because I though the blooms in the background detracted form the primary subject, but I may have gone overboard. This was one of those grab type shots no tripod handy. And yes I know it is something of a cliche with the water drops, but that was the kind of a day it was. Thanks again for viewing and commenting.
