    Talking Another flower pic

I can't decide if this is thumbs up or down... I like the sky, and the idea... but again, I'm afraid I may have under-exposed. Any thoughts?

    Hey Kristin,
I like the point of view you took this from. i have done a few myself from under the flower with the sky as the background. but I do feel it is underexposeed and not sharp enough. Also, I think a different choice of flower would be better for this type of composition. Something with petals opened providing a larger more dominant subject against the blue sky. Also, clouds in the sky add to the effect. Usually Sunflowers and such work great with these comps. Try this again and lets see how it comes along.

Thanks Gary, I agree. I kept looking at this photo, probably because I love the color purple but somehow I knew it wasn't quite going to make it. Thanks for the advice!

sorry but the curve towards the camera as opposed to the colors and exposure are what didn't work...I think the colors are quite nice ( a little lighter maybe) and the idea was great...can you reshoot it? Keep at it it had a nice feel and the beginnings of a nice shot

Thanks Nat, I'm going to keep at it. Maybe more DOF will help, since I don't have anything distracting behind it anyway. I will try to lighten it up as well. Thanks!
