American robin that is. It seems like we have had a ton of these birds down here in Houston this winter. They are all over the place hopping around on the ground. I shot this one yesterday in my back yard.

Equipment used: Canon EOS 20D w/EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS lens @ 400mm and f/5.6

Wisconsin's state bird! Although I don't know why we would choose a bird that leaves the state for the winter. We had a bunch of them around work a few weeks ago. I guess they didn't check the weather before they came back.

A very nice shot buy the way. I love the DOF and I also like that there aren't any branches getting in the way of the subject.

Great shot. Love the color on the birds breast, very bright. Nothing distracting from the subject...a good, all around pic.
