    Re: After the snow

Lovely colors, and beautiful place. Certainly a good 'Canada' shot. The one thing I can criqitue is that the mountains are verrrrrrrrry unfocused and blurry for me on my monitor. Maybe a sharpening job can fix that.

    Just a thought,

    Re: After the snow

    Welcome to the forum Knight!

I think this shot has some great potential, but I think a better comp would help a lot. I think the scene itself is beautiful. I love the fresh snow on the trees, the clouds, the way the sun is hitting the mountain... I also like the idea of having something in the FG to add depth to the photo, but I don't think it needs to be dead center. I think the posts on the left would have done just fine for this. I would suggest moving to the left and using the posts as your FG element, and not the mail box. For me, it is a very natural view, and the mail box seems to be out of place in this photo.

I like the composition, I think that if the sky was clearer, the mountains would have turned out much nicer. It's hard to get good focus in snow. Living in Canada, i myself have learned to hate the snow. Stupid snow! Bring on the nice weather!!

I like this very much. I don't get to see anything like this where I live. It's beautiful.
