Is this a room after you have fixed it ? ha ha .Not sure what you were trying for here so can not make any useful comment.

    Re: abandoned flat

I've quite a number of these photos, they were taken before builders came in to gut a block of apartments in Dublin, and a lot of great stuff was left behind by the previous occupiers. As a set, or body of work, they work quite well, but on its own, one photo doesn't really tell the story i suppose....................tis a wee bit obscure!

I like to colors but the image is really noisy (maybe you did it on purpose for the really run down look). I think the composition is too cluttered. There is no center of interest here to keep me looking at the picture.

You know, I gotta say I like this. I like the graininess( not sure if it was intentional) and the composition is good. I think a little less cluttered might have been a bit stronger, but I like this as it is. I like that you put the corner of the room in the left third of the frame and also like that you included the light or whatever it is thats hanging down from the ceiling. I would like to see the other shots as well. Good work

thanks for your comments.........................the grain was intentional, i worked with a very high iso speed to get the effect.

I agree the shot looks a bit cluttered, perhaps a bit too much going on on the left of the pic, i'll post up one or two more from the set soon.

    cheers

    Re: abandoned flat

Anew... these kind of places are fascinating, just seeing a space that was once full of life and was just abandoned leaves you with many questions. It's interesting to me on that level, like a peek into the past. The graininess makes me think it's full of mold in there so it fits. I also think it would be better as a series instead of single shot.

    Re: abandoned flat

this one is slightly different to the last,

taken in the same place, the back room was in total darkness, so i had a friend wander around with a torch while i took the pic, being careful not to get in the way........

    see what you think,

    cheers
