4 seasons in 1 image. Continuation after one year

    Hello there,

Take a look at my project "4 seasons in 1 image". I am working on it for two years now, and this is the second, improved version. You can find the first version here:

So, how do You like it? Is it not too complicated?

    Thanks.

Hello Gohan, long time no see.

I like this concept, your idea and the execution are good. This piece isn't very contrasty but I assume that it was a decision of yours and I am ok with it, the final result being elegant. In fact there is almost an abstract quality in the repetition of shapes and colors, I like it.

However, I must say that your version of last year has a stronger initial impact (on me at least). I get a clearer feel of seasons passing by on that one.

In the end, I don't know which one I prefer, they both work in a different way. If your goal clearly is to display seasons passing by I guess that your first version is more succesful. On the other hand, your latest piece has a nice graphic quality to it. It would makes a nice panoramic print.

Thanks Seb for very sharp opinion.
The quality was the most important issue in previous piece, so I mostly worked namely on it. Why I decided to add more slices? - Because "spring" did not differ from "summer" enough so that it would be four contrasting seasons. Plus, I could not catch colourful autumn this year (as you see in the image, first slice is not colourful enough, the second is belated). So if I ever catch emphatic "autumn" and "spring", I think I will return to previous model.
