    K10D In The House!

I got the K10D form Pentax on Friday. I spent a few hours yesterday doing product shots of it for the review we're working on. And today I took it out in the rain and fog for some mountain bike photos - perfect conditions for the K10D! I'll post some of those photos later - probably on ViewFinder. I'll post a link here, too

This photo is actually pretty fun, I think. The camera in the foreground on the tripod is a Canon XTi, the camera being photographed is the K10D with the grip. And I took this picture with a Canon PowerShot A640

Whoah! How the heck did I make that mistake? That's nothing like what I intended to post. Weird. Thanks for the correction.

Glad you like the photos. It was an interesting day for photos. I hope to have the review up tomorrow. It's not my review. I only have the camera for test shots and product photos. But I had to do my part, right?

    Kit Lens

Just the 18-55mm kit lens. It seems pretty good, though. The auto focus is excellent. There's a strange depth-of-field thing - it seems shallow compared to what I'm used to. It almost seems like they're trying to replicate 35mm film camera depth-of-field. But the optics confuse me. Because if it has a 1.5x sensor, and the lens is really and 18-55, then the depth-of-field should be the same as any other lens. Of course, I've really only shot wide open in very low light. So I need to play with it a bit more in more normal conditions.

The review is actually pretty much done. I'm not the one writing it. I hope we can have it up today or tomorrow.
