What mobile phone service do you use?

Looks like I'm gonna go with Cingular. They have good coverage in this area and a rate plan I like. I'm also going to upgrade my phone. Cingular is offering the SE z520 for free with a rebate... :lol:

Hi Steve,

I just switched from T-Mobile to Cingular. Both have great international service, but Cingular has better coverage domestically, in comparison to T-Mobile. Since I call internationally, I also got the internatinal calling plan so I can call overseas for cheaper than my landline.

The phone I have is the Cingular 8125 which is a small PDA, and quad band. As a backup I halso have a unlocked Treo 600.

You could always order/upgrade to the 10 megapixel cellphone/camera being sold by Samsung (I believe) in Japan.

I have TWO cell phones and two providers ..... Verizon and Nextel. They, like the regular phone co. are a bit confused as I am on the border of two area codes and each phone is in a seperate area code. The Nextel is mainly used for the PTT feature with a friend and doesn't get an airtime charge and no charge for incoming calls. It's rarely used for outgoing as I can burn up 500 hours pretty quick . The Verizon is the one that makes all the outgoing calls as it has 1500 minutes. Both phones are Motorola's.

Thanks again to everyone that offered advice about my new phone/service. I decided to go with Cingular. And I upgraded my phone big-time, getting the SonyEricsson z520.

What's hilarious is that one of the first calls I made with the new setup was to Sebastian in Chicago, and not only was the reception terrible, but after a half-minute or so, the call got dropped.

What a RUDE welcome!

Had Tmobile for four years---hated it for four years

switch to Nextel/Sprint---9 months now---hate it more than T mobile

switching to Cingular when this contract is up --- due to positive feedback from a lot of people at work and otherwise and plus we get a 20% discount on phones and services through work... mostly the customer service seems to be better..
