Now, is the world really better off without him? Obviously he did some horrible things in the past and he did a lot to try to make up for it. Never admitting guilt to the crimes he was committed of makes me wonder what really happened. Maybe he's guilty, maybe not (I doubt that though). Without knowing as much as I should know about this because I'm replying here, I don't think I agree with the outcome.
