Should Paris Hilton go to jail?

Yes! She should have went to jail from day one just like you or I would have if we had been convicted of reckless driving under the influence. Probation was a very light sentence for the crime.

She drove while drunk, try that in the Air Force and you not only go to jail you lose your job (military discharge).

Now that she broke probation she should have all previously suspended sentences invoked and sent to jail.

This celebrity preferential treatment needs to stop. Think what it does to children growing up who worship these celebs to see them get away with crimes.

not sure if it made the news in the states, but when she was in Australia, she stopped at a caffee to get some lunch and her and her entourage left without paying. I think this bespeaks a lack of awareness of other. the driving offence is just the same. I feel that these crimes should be persecuted to the full extent of the law if only for the example it sets. Incidentally our media got over the story very quickly so i assume someone from her staff contacted the store concerned and paid them the bill.

I have to agree with Alex, under all that make-up and really with make-up on she really is not that attractive. Anyways, it just shows you how they always get a slap on the wrist and sent home. What happens when the day comes she actually kills someone, than, sympathy for the rich tramp or for the victim and their family. Let's see, I'll wager a guess that it will be the tramp. Sorry if I seem a little bit harsh, not.

Anna let herself go with becoming popular ... her early photos are very stunning ...

the may issue of playboy did a "tribute" toward her and interviewed some of the people that worked with her and she really let the "higher lifestyle" affect her. Whereas Hilton grew up with $$ and is used to being in the spotlight. I think Smith in her "hay-day" is 110% better than Paris anyday ...

I had to reply to this post because just last night I had a conversation with a freind about all the gossip news. Conclusion #1 no sympathy for celebreties that get in trouble. #2 celeb news doesn't really intrest us. #3 some people follow this crap like it was their own lives on the line and thats scary!

Come on, she had lost her drivers license and was still driving... DRUNK!

Us non-celeb folks would get a year at the least not to mention the fines we can't afford and forced into a rehab program, where celebs volunteer to go to rehab and JQ public holds them up on a pedestal for it.

I'm so tired of it, it's all we hear in the news. These guys will do anything to get their photo/name in the spotlight. They're mentally ill, not enough attention from daddy when they were younger or something, I dunno.

Anyways, ya'll know how I feel about it now.
