    Question Advise on Nikon Purchase

    Evening all
    And thanks in advance for the insight.Have a chance to pick up an EC+ F4 with MB21 and a Nikon 28-105 3.5 for $500.00 want a pro quality 35 mm have a Nikon D90 DSLR and i have heard nothing but good in regards to the F4 any help with this would be great.

    That's $500 you could have spent on accessories for the D90. If you really want to start a pro film SLR collection then go ahead. Personally I regret buying so much film gear which I don't use any more, but then who expected digital to go so far, so fast..

    I see from your profile that you're something of a collector (unlike me).

    This setup doesn't excite me. The first problem is the 28-105. Yes it was the professionals workhorse for years but it doesn't have the well-deserved aura of the 35-70 f2.8 or the 28-70 f2.8 (I have the 28-70 f2.8 and there is something special about the images).

    The F4 was before my time with Nikon and I haven't heard anything about it. My favourite from the 1990's is the F100 which was a really nice piece of machinery (I've kept mine).
