    10-20-07 walkabout

Decided to take a trip to Illinois beach state park this past saturday morning. We have been there a few times before and have had great luck seeing the deer and with the colors starting to pop around here I figured it would be a good trip. Boy I couldn't of been more wrong!

We spent about 3-4 hours down there and just wasn't what I was looking for. The color either wasn't there or was already down. Was really wierd. So we headed home, stopped for lunch, and decided to stop in a local county park for a bit. I had about 30 - 45 min. before I had to get home and drop off the equipment to make the poker game for the afternoon / evening. I took many more shots in the short time at the county park vs beach state park.

Here are the better of the shots I was able to take (all taken at the county park)

    I like your #3 shot.

I know what you mean about the leaves. We've had some trees steadily loosing leaves for about a month now. Others are quite green and some are at peak. We drove down to Cinicinnati on Saturday and the view the whole way down/up was pretty bland.

I think if #3 was a bit brighter you'd have an amazing image!
