What a bummer this day has been.......

I have a female Painted Bunting that visits the feeder every morning. Today I decided to get a photo, but every time she showed up, she would leave as soon as I attempted to get a shot. She is just too spooked by people.

I did get a shot of a White Winged Dove.....



and a Red Bellied Woodpecker.......



Talk about birds that spook easy, how about these Brown Headed Cowbirds? They arive in flocks of 10-75 birds and quickly depart upon the slightest noise or movement.....







I took the shots of the Cowbirds and suddenly they took off just as the Red Shouldered Hawk swooped into the backyard. I thought I would be getting a number of good shots of the hawk, but in less than 5 minutes the Blue Jays spotted the hawk and chased it away.







Oh well, tomorrow's another day.................
