Thanks very much. It looks to me as if the bird thought the flower was a good idea, but once upon it is now having second thoughts, slamming on the brakes, eye bulging out, "Whoooooaaaa!"
great job on these aqnd my favorite is the hummingbird also. BTW, those are some cool butterfly/moth species.
They look like Peck's Skippers, but I don't know if they range into California.
