oh. Please don't post a ton of images in one post.

    Sorry about the number.

I don't think the one was a goldfinch, but I see why the front view looked like it. This is the same bird from the side, it doesn't appear to have a finch beak.

Re: SUMMER 2010 Bird ID Thread

Oh, and thanks, Paul. I'm bad at my warbler ID's in the spring when they're at least looking like what the guides show them as looking like, fall plumage just confuses the heck out of me.

Definately a warbler and appears to be a cross between goldenwinged and blue winged warbler for a few generations. looks bluewinged warbler in the wings and upper body, but has the white of the golden winged.

The other one is a black and white warbler I do believe.

    ok, back to being sick....

Here in the UK we're well into autumn, with morning frosts and mist.
But these few were from sunny (mosquito ridden) Florida working late into the evening.

    a kind of kingfisher?

hawk of some sort, but what?

    camouflaged heron?

    red shouldered?

    Thanks Paul !
I'm not sure I'd see much more if I spent more time there, felt like I barely put the camera down
Angie was driving and I was leaning out the passenger window, or shooting across her through the driver's window.
Only got out of the car twice.

Hardest part of the day was killing all the mosquitoes that got in the car
