I have no idea what this guy is or where to begin looking in my birding guide. I shot him in Cauyga Ontario during a drift race I was covering. I got exactly 3 frame of him before he blasted off away from me due to the noise from the cars and this is the best I could do unfortunately.
Any ideas Paul?
**Edit** I found something that looks close with the Bobolink.... am I correct?

that is indeed a male bobolink..... the song(had to be singing on territory) was the metalic computer generated sounding noise you heard... R2D2 like :)

Thought I was seeing a female warbler until I pointed my camera at him. Saw the red eyes so I'm thinking a Red-eyed vireo? :)

I finally got a grab shot of this guy ,He seem very shy , i had noticed him hanging out in a certain area but have never been able to get a picture so far this is the only one i have for a ID . I think its a Indigo or Blue Bunting im not sure Paul . Im hoping that he sticks around for a better shot in the future. :) ( Hoping for a 150-500mm by the end of summer lol )

No blue buntings anywhere near you and blue grosbeak would be a great find that far north....

That isn't a bush shrike and once again... don't know.
That is a steppe eagle(buzzard)
Africa has way too many bird species from everywhere and I honestly can't ID most of them.

The only way I had any clue on what these birds were was to ask they guide! Then we would mark them off in the book we had! It made it pretty easy to figure out what they were once we got home and had the prints made.

I haven't been by in a while so here are a few from the past couple of weeks. I know these won't be a challenge for you Paul but they are birds I don't see to often. The second one I've run into a few times, I think there is a nest in the area.

white eyed vireo and yellow breasted chat are AWESOME finds!!! I have never seen a chat in NJ that wasn't migrating and have seen very few nesting white eyed vireos.
Is that a young bluewinged warbler?
Love that last image of a domesticated caniform too.:D

The Chat was very vocal at times, it sure made some strange sounds. I saw the Chat at the same spot a few weeks ago and then last week I saw it many times. It kept going back into this one thick bush, a few times I noticed it was bringing food, I think there is a nest but the bush is real thick and I'd have to get real close to get a good look so I just watched from a distance. The Vireo I saw for a brief moment and that was all. I've been seeing a lot of Blue-winged this year.
