Eric - I knew you'd come back with some knock-out N&W shots and you did not disappoint! So did you pack the 300mm f/2.8 for the trip?

I can't imagine seeing "pet shop" birds right outside the house.

Love the kite in-flight and the macaw.

Thanks Loupey...got some nice surf shots as well. I actually took my 200-400MM F4 with a 1.4X tc. gave me some zoom range so i didn't have to take so many lenses! With the intense light down there things worked out well.

I have been informed the brown spots go away with maturity.

Great series Eric, all super shots. That kite in flight really is fantastic.

What part of Costa Rica were you surfing?

Nice area, you were close to Manuel Antonia national park. It's well worth seeing.

Sounds like you've fallen in love with that country as much as my wife and I have.

I tried a surfing lesson on one trip to Tamarindo... lets just say you have to be in much better shape than I am...it was exhausting!

On the bright side, I outlasted my 27 year old son and completed the lesson without collapsing on the beach like he did.. (and he calls me old... hah!)

Eric, your photos are always incredible. Indeed, the Kite is stunning but I also like the Scarlet Macaw! The colors are amazing. Thanks for posting these!
