    Sitting Pretty, Full Frame

    Loupey,

Here is the full frame shot. Any suggestions on what would have made for a stronger presentation?

    Thanks,

Ouch - now I understand! That other bird sure knows where not to be

I think there is enough below the wood duck to make this a traditional 3:2 ratio image or even a square. I'll play around with it when I get to my work computer tomorrow.

Thanks for posting a comparative image!

    Re: Sitting Pretty, Full Frame

A tough but good exercise. So here's my interpretation of it.

Couldn't go square after all. Left it at 3:2 ratio. Tried to get as much of the wake (both front and back) as possible - this resulted in going all the way up to the reflected beak of the other bird. That reflection is not all that recognizable at this point but still you may want to clone it out (I'm not that skilled at PP).

Played around a little with the color balance, saturation, and contrast.

Looking back to your original cropped image, I think you did great!

    Loupey,

Sorry I have not responded, work has been a bit overwhelming the past few days. Thanks so much for fiddling with the full frame shot. I appreciate the efforts and all your feedback.
