Sony/Minolta - way more gear than talent.
OC, Here is a crop of his head from the same picture. By the way I just thought I would add that the first shot was a crop of the original and this is a closer crop of that. Didn't have much luck with the horn thing, Jeff
I was using my Sigma 135-400mm APO lens and this was shot at 200mm. This lens does not have stabilization.

The pelican is lovely. What I learned in the Galapagos Islands is how pelicans become dive bombers hoping to capture fish in that huge beak. The fish seemed at a disadvantage.
