    Over heated Brown Thrasher

In the mid-afternoon heat, this Brown Thrasher visited my yard and presented me with a number of strange poses. The spread wings and the panting with an open mouth indicate that the poor little bird had become over heated with the 90 deg. temps, and was attempting to cool off.

awwww poor little thing. This reminds me that I need to make some kind of bird bath before it gets super hot here. Interesting shots Ira.
