Not quite a Nature Photgrapher but...

I was so down yesterday and ready to give photography up, SERIOUSLY!
And then today, something happened. I was seeing my girls off to school and, up on the roof, was a Starling. The temptation to run and get my camera was overwhelming.
But, I thought to myself, by the time I have gone and and come back the Starling would be gone. It was, but, there were many of them around today, so I stood waiting.

Now I'm not quite the nature photographer that all of you are and these creatures are VERY common, but, it's funny how something always comes along to make you realise where your heart truly is huh?
    I enjoyed playing today

That's why I love Nature photography over any other "type" of photography. Inspiration and fascination can come from observing the very common.

No moody people to work with. The subjects never have a "bad day" - except for those being eaten.

Always something new to see, experience, and share. Even within a busy metropolitan.

Loupey said a mouthful there. Years ago I tried my hand at weddings and high school seniors and children. That was when my first gray hairs started coming in. This lasted about a year. Now that I only shoot nature again, I believe I'm getting younger, at least feeling it.

Yeah.....photography has been an anchor for me. With all my hobbies....I always somehow return to photography....I could never give it up.

I just printed a few beach shots of my son and nieces. Makes me happy I captured such pleasant moments in time.

    Nice shots Alison...

I'm happy to see you back in the swing of things. With the outstanding talent you have for taking pictures it would be a terrible waste for you to stop. About 20 years ago I came up with the attitude expressed in my signature line. Believe it or not it is actually the attitude I really have in life. Hope you have many GREAT days ahead, Jeff
