    My New Neighbor

This house wren lives in my backyard. Hoping to get some decent photos of him soon.

Thanks everyone. This shot was actually a throw away that I decided to play around with. The bird was actually shot against light gray vinyl siding so I dropped in a blurred background shot I took last weekend. Here is the original.

Thanks for showing the before and after images, Mike. I never would have thought about replacing the background - great job!

On a side note: we've had carolina wrens in our backyard for over 3 years and I've still not been able to get a good shot of them. They'll land on the deck behind glass but as soon as I get my camera or open the door, they are totally invisible

Thanks Loupey. I have done this a few times in the past but mostly just to see if I could do it and not have people notice. I did this on the in flight bluebird photo I posted last week as well. There was a feeder in the corder of that shot that was too big to clone out so simply covered it up. I intentionally shot an out of focus frame so I would have something to work with and since I had it, I thought I would try to use it on the wren photo.

everyone needs to learn to "pish" it works wonders on getting wrens to get quite close during nesting season only works for a few times though before they figure out it's just a noisy photog
