    Molting

Soon to be in his winter garb.

Please critique the shot. I'm shooting this with a remote and would be especially interested in how you would handle the focus. Should I try to use a lens/f stop combination that keeps the whole bath in focus? Use a shallow depth of view and hope? Use AF?

    Re: Molting

Other than cropping it a bit, I I wouldn't change a thing. I like the fact that the bird, the pebbles in the foreground and the ripples in the water are sharp while the pebbles and the foliage in the background are out of focus. That draws the eye to the bird and the ripples which are the subject of the photograph. Nice shot!

    I don't critique...

    Great shot and nice angle.
