    Michigan Dragonflies

    Finally got around to going through these. Dragonflies from Leelanau State Park.

    Excellent captures...amazing how many colors these guys come in...and you got to love those faces on them!!

    This summer I had an interesting experience with a Dragon. I heard a crunching chomping chewing noise with my right ear, I turned my head and there was a dragon sitting on my upper arm having a nice meal of a horse fly. His little jaws were crunching away on this pest, it was really cool to watch. When he shoveled the last of the fly in, he jumped off to look for another one. I said "kill 'em all Dragon" as I watched him fly off.

    I think Dragons are my favorite insect, nice shots.

    Thanks everyone

    I miss that rented lens and extension tubes... I'm going to have to buy a set of extension tubes of my own soon I think...
