    A few plant shots

I took a long walk in the woods today trying out a new tripod, the ponds are all dry and there were very few birds about. So, I took shots of anything that caught my eye. Here are a few, I've got a lot to sort through still.

It looks like the tripod did it's job. Birds are pretty scarce around here these days too. However, I have noticed a few more hawks than normal. I believe their migration is getting started.

Thanks Mike, I'm pretty happy with the new tripod. It's a manfrotto carbon fiber pro 4. Nice and light however the extra length of the legs took a bit of getting used to when walking around with it. Nice not to need the center post extended though.

They certainly look sharp. That should be an excellent tripod.

I like the first one with the 'full' through 'faded' showing the season. The orange spot is a little rough, though.
