    keeping track of Sand Hill Cranes

    I was on my was into town today and potted this Sand Hill Crane at our small airport near my house. All the ones in our area are kept up with and tracked all the time, Jeff

    Beautiful capture.
    That blue tracking band looks like it has a transmitter.

    Every Sand Hill Crane in the area has a transmitter. These birds Held up interstate 10 for years because they live in the area. There is no telling how many millions of dollars each one of these birds has cost us over the past years and continue to cost us, Jeff

    It's a beautiful shot.
    If it was mine I would try and rubber stamp the bands off the bird to make it look more natural and print it. IMO, This is one for your commercial website.

    I love the texture and detail and feel it to be a great shot. The bands are a tad distracting but I still enjoy the composition.
