    Hummers (image heavy)

I'm going to have an overload of hummingbird shots the next week. There had to be a dozen hanging about the hillside garden at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. As bad as I am at thinning my shots down, I hope I don't hummer overload you guys.

Nice series! Love seing the head stuck in the flower and the last one with the two red flowers is beautiful. What was he shutter speed on #8, 9, 10?

So that's where they all went - mine are all gone. They must have a 'meet-up' group at the Gardens before heading south.

I have whole series of shots with the one perched between the two red flowers.

    8,9,10 were at 1/400.

Yes, the adult males have been gone from here for about 3 weeks. I think at least one that stayed around was a male juvy since it had one red spot on the lower-middle of its throat when seen in just the right light. - Terry

Shots are great... a few I would consider duplicates though.
The first step is BEING THERE to take it...
