    Finally, my new lens

I finally got my real lens, the Canon L 400mm f5.6. Not quite a pro lens, but a great amatuer lens. I tried to find a Snowy Owl this weekend to try it out on. The only one I found was a half mile away, but I got these other shots in the process. Maybe there will be Snowy Owl pics next weekend.

    Dunlin, Canon T3, 400mm, ISO400, 1/450, f5.6

Awesome! I like the shot of the Dunlins too.

I AGONIZED for a week or two between the 300mm f/4 and the 400mm f/5.6. Please keep posting - I'd love to see what you and your lens can keep doing!
