Nice shots being able to get the pair like you did. How do you know which one is the male? In the first one, I figured it out myself because the one on the right had it's mouth open, LOL.

I am thinking about getting a circular polarizing filter and was wondering if using one on these shots would have made a difference. I'm just asking because I want to make sure I will get some benefit from having one before I spend a bunch of money, Jeff

I have polarizing filters and find them pretty much useless most of the time unless I am shooting over water in some bright light. Took these images with both filter and no filter and preferred the photo with out.

The reason I know it's the male is because he is missing a Talon on his left foot and he is smaller than the female. We noticed the missing talons years ago while they were mating.

Wings and feathers were out for drying as these 2 just came back from the lake after their morning bath

Very nice series of shots. I don't know about Bald Eages but I believe that in the case of most raptors the female is larger than the male.
