    Evening Fire @ 10400ft

    Hello my fellow N&W friends,
It's been a while since I posted anything hope you'all haven't forgotten me? lol

Been very busy around here, my daughter just had our first grand child Devon Patrick.
There were some complications so my daughter moved back in with the wife and myself so we could help take care of the baby. Sorry no baby shots yet I suck at indoor photography.

Anyway, I finely had a chance to get out of the house with my camera and wanted to share a few shots. No birds or animals so I hope it's OK to post here. I don't frequent the other PR.com threads that much. Not sure anyone knows me there.

    I call this Evening Fire

And the second shot is called
    Framed Mtns.

Other photo's of this trip are located on my FB. Sorry about the level horizons and WB issues. I'm working on it.
Please check them out if you like. No FB account required.

We've missed you around here Bob. This location looks wonderful and your FB gallery indicates it was quite an effort getting there. Both images are nice - I like the framing of the distant mtns between the trees.

    Hi Eric, Cara, and Ken
Thanks for your commenting on the photos and the congrats on becoming a grandpa.

I have really missed taking the camera out to the piney woods and surfing this site.
I hope to be back at both very soon.

Congratulations!!! You are now an official member of the "Grandpaw Club", welcome aboard. I looked at your picture and seem to be handling the exposure of the snow very well, keep up the good work and take the baby outside if you have to, to be able to take some pictures to post. We don't except excuses here, Jeff

    Hi Jeff,
Official member of the "Grandpaw Club" That's cool thank you.

I was quite happy with how the snow exposure turned out as well. Not gray and not blown out.
Recently PhotoJohn posted an article or link to a new member with tips on photographing in snow. I set my camera using those tips and I ws very pleased with the results. Darn it, I can't seem to find the link right now to reference here.
