    Eight types of Duck

More from the trip. Is it just me or does everyone come home from a vacation with more photos to sort through than is sane?

    Bufflehead

    Northern Shoveller

    Lesser Scaup

    Mallard

    American Coot

    Northern Pintail

    Wood Duck Male

    Wood Duck Female

Ok, I cheated. The coot isn't really a duck...

Looks like it was a nice trip!

It could be worse. You could come home from a vacation to send out couple hundred dollars of film to process...and then sort through those

Thanks for the comments guys, I really did have a great time and good luck shooting several birds I've never had the chance at before.

Thanks WesternGuy, if you are ever out in Vancouver try to get to the Reifel bird sanctuary. It is well worth visiting. Also, the trails at Boundary Bay in Tsawwassen are super spots for raptors.

Yup, the bufflehead is a diving duck.

Tons of bald eagles at Boundary Bay area. I once saw a tree with 15 bald eagles in it at the same time ! And the northern harrier hang out that area all year along.

    Nice series, Scott !!
