    I'm on a (bad) roll

An all too common subject, bad lighting direction, no color, odd subject posture.

My world. Cheers from Columbus metro.

Gad I need to go somewhere.

The challenge is part of the fun for it makes those special catches more exciting.

    As for a get away.
Florida's nesting season seems to be peaking.
Arizona, Nevada, and Utah are all warming up nicely.

Your worst shots look like my best and feel luck to get them.
    I like this one.
Is it a sparrow of some kind?

    Me too.

I'm going to snake road. I've decided, I need to make it happen. Restaurant be damned. Meet you there? Probably the weekend of april 18th.

Thanks, everyone - I guess my recent unsuccesful hunt for owls got me in a little bit of a funk.

I've had my eye on Arizona for a while especially since my oldest brother lives out there and is a commercial airline pilot. So I have a way to get there and a place to stay. But my schedule just never works out. A silly shame.

    A song sparrow btw.

Probably not this year. My schedule lately has been changing day-to-day. I'll be lucky to make it up to Magee Marsh for the annual warbler migration. And that is only 2 1/2 hours away.

I gots no idea! Birds make sounds to me - can't recognize them as songs.

Or is it not a song sparrow?

Re: I'm on a (bad) roll

Here's another one taken a few days after the first one. A bit more color with this one (but not that much). Again with a 1000mm.

A lot of firepower but nothing to shoot with it
