    Collared Sunbird

At least I think that this is a collared sunbird.... maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong. A resident in my garden and extremely difficult (for me) to photograph as they are incredibly quick and will not sit still.

Thanks for looking and a happy New Year

The last one with the flower is my favorite. Would you mind if I try something with it and re post the picture? Jeff

    Re: Collared Sunbird

I really like this picture and think it has a lot of potential. I cropped it some, added some sharpening and adjusted the color a little bit. I hope it meets with your approval. When I ask if I could try something with your photo I was thinking I was still looking at pictures in the critique forum that I had just left a few moments ago or I would not have ask about a re post of your picture. I apologize for asking, here it is, Jeff

Thanks again - to me somewhere between the two images might work better and now that i look at the original again it is a bit on the 'fuzzy' side.

I don't think the original was too soft or fuzzy. I do like Grandpaw's crop though. It moves the bird a little more off-center.

    Gorgeous bird!

    Re: Collared Sunbird

Thanks - i need to think a little more about composition / cropping in the future. I've been trying to get a half way decent shot of this bird for over a year now and at least i got 'half way decent'....
