    Caracara Family....

    This family is located in Viera Wetlands,,,Florida. As you can see the male is banded and has a transmitter attached on his back. Some orginization is monitoring these beautiful birds!!!

    Eric, great images. It is always nice to see birds from parts of North America that those of us in the Great White North will never see in our part of the woods (or prairies). So for those of us who don't know, can you tell us where in Florida are the Viera Wetlands. Maybe someday, if I get to visit, I will know where to go to get some great images of these and other birds. Thanks.

    Viera Wetlands is located in Viera, Florida (Brevard County). It is also located next to a huge conservation area. Here at the Wetlands you can either drive or walk around the marshes.

    Gorgeous shots Eric and a beautiful subject too. I'm hard pressed to pick a favourite from this series, the 4th one and the last one maybe...but they are all fantastic. Keep em coming!
