I danced around on the bank a bit looking for the best foreground elements and I like how this one flows as a result.

Great pic. You really get some great colours in your corner of New England. In my part of the country, most of the deciduous trees turn one colour - yellow - and then they are gone, particularly if it gets windy around the time they turn. This past fall, most of our leaves had turned and were gone in less than two weeks. Thanks for sharing.

thanks guys. Living in New England does have its perks. I'm a shade bummed about this one - see all those bare trees on the hill? They were probably red the week before. Ah well....maybe next year.

yeah, it slopes down where the boat launch is and the bank comes towards me, out into the water.
