    Gold

A little soft but I really fell in love with this shot and with the rows of golden dead leaves(go figure). It was about 4pm and that beautiful glowy light was shining on these leaves that were well past their prime but in a way it brought 'em back to life...all suggestions welcome.

only post editing was to crop it...have at it

    Hey Natalie,
Glad to see you back. My favorite part of this image is the pearly golden glow of the leaves in the background, but being similiar in color to the two main leaves does not let them ( the two foreground leaves) stand out quite enough. possibly if there was light on the two leaves or fill flash might have brought them out more. . .I still like the image though

Natalie, a little Filter/unsharpen mask might be in order with this image, I tried it and you can get better just on the small image size you have posted here.

How are you, hope things are better.

Not bad. For some reason though, my eyes are expecting to see a more focused stem here. Usually with these types of shots, it's best to not leave anything other than the immediate subject in focus. But maybe because the background texture has such a similar shape to the foreground, I want to see more of it in context? Hard to say...

Also, I might've framed the shot a little further to the left. [snip]

Overall the exposure is good though and I too am fond of that particular range of colors in landscapes. Could use a tad of USM as noted earlier.
