Question Site Info, Visitors, Referals, etc......

On average I get well over two thoushand visitors to my site each month.
I also get somewhere in the range of 30,000 "hits" each month, I also know what the top 10 pages are people are looking at.
I don't know where people are coming though, but I wish I did.

I use the Urchin report that my ISP provides for members. It's not a bad reporting tool, but I would like a better more informative one.
I also use this one, because there is no extra fee.

What do any of you use to view such information about your sites? Are there any "free ones" out there?

Do you know what version of Urchin you are using? Do you have UTM installed? Urchin + UTM is quite possibly the best solution available.

Bravenet.com has free utilities, check with them you might find something you are looking for. Also where I host my sites, everyone gets a cpanel that they can then use part of the system to see the info about they page hits and also where people are coming from.

I have hosting plans that I can setup with all this included, each person looks after their own sites and I step in and help where needed.

Urchin is a more complete solution than anything offered by cPanel. cpanel offers webalizer, awstats & analog. Urchin leaves all those in the dust.

And for $895 I'm sure it would give you a more complete solution, but I don't think the majority of people here could afford that kind of money to part with at the level of info they are looking for.

Or did you get it for some other price maybe mjm.

The $895 version is for corporate accounts (see the up to 100 domains part in the license). If you purchase through a reseller you can lease it for something like $30 a month. Froogle for cheaper versions...

    Urchin...

The Urchin, I am using is a watered down version, provided to me from my ISP.
It just gives the basics, hits, guests, pages, file types. Just the basics.
Thanks Pete, I'll take a look at Bravenet.com.

If you are serious about tracking visitors it is the best solution right now. After Urchin is AWStats, which is 100% free. Webalizer is pretty fast, but not as complete as AWStats.

    Free is GOOD!!!!!!

You must relaize that I am trying to do this all on a very limitied budget.
Other than my ISP, I pay $9 a year to have mtbbrian.com forwarded to the lengthy URL that my site really is. So free is GOOD!
I haven't heard of any of these sites, so I will certainly check them all out.
    Thanks to both of you!
