http://www.pbase.com I think it is, seems to be very popular place for online photography. The other site you posted seems OK, but the costs seem a bit high. $10 per photo once of but if you add another, it is another $10 on going each photo change. You can get hosting for cheaper than that per month with a lot more space too.

Here are three that I've tried

I think the site you want to use will depend on your need. These are the ones I've tried:

pBase.com (as Peter mentioned): Great hosting service that seems to attract some really talented photographers. It's fantastic for browsing, getting ideas, and communicating with other photographers. But you can't order prints of your photos.

Ofoto.com: Great for casually sharing pictures with novice family and friends, and has reasonable print prices, but somewhat limited print options.

EZ Prints: Fantastic print service in a wide variety of formats, matte/glossy, panorama print support, and more. Has some photo sharing services, but photos expire after a period of time and get deleted from the services.

    Happy hunting!

If anyone is willing to pay $10 per PHOTO hosted I think I see where my next web project lies

I'm actually doing a php-powered portfolio for a friend of mine right now. You can get a LOT of space for a little money if you're willing to dig a little deeper into the tech side.

    Photo Sharing vs Portfolio Sites

So far, people have listed photo sharing sites. That's what Ofoto, Snapfish, and other printing services do. A real portfolio site allows serious photographers to present their work in a professional Web environment. Some also offer fulfillment services where customers can order prints and the hosting company will handle printing, shipping, and billing.

There are starting to be more and more of these professional portfolio services. Actually, you could even use the Member Gallery feature in the new gallery on this site.

Here are a couple pages on this site with links to photo sharing and portfolio services:

    Re: online portfolio services

The best site we've ever seen for online photo sharing is www.easiestfilesystem.com

You can preview photos, annotate them, show them in a slideshow, and share them with the recipients having one-click hyperlinks direct to albums (e.g. no login process required, read-only access).

I believe that they must love digital photography given all of the photo-related features
