Re: What you think about new lenses from Tamron?

I own a previous version of the 90mm macro and it's excellent. High quality, little distortion, very sharp. Tamron's also come with their own lens hood which is reversible so that you can keep it on the lens. The only pain with it is cleaning the glass, which is recessed and hard to reach. Mine is a manual focus so I can't comment on it's AF capability. It is also not vibration reduction.

My only complaint with Tamron is that their prices are just about as high as the camera manufacturers'. To me they should be cheaper, But I have no idea what it costs to make a quality lens,

I'm pleased with the Tamron 70-300 micro I have, but note it is the Full Frame 35mm film lens not a DX!
