Virtual Distance


I am trying to find a chart for diopter correction lenses for the Olympus OM series cameras. I found such a chart for Bronica . (http://www.tamron.com/bronica/prodsq_eye.asp) that lists the correction you would need , based on the prescription of your glasses when viewing at 26.3 inches.(the virtual distance in the view finder ) For example Bronica finders use a -1.5 correction and if your glasses were 1.0 diopter you would need a -0.5 correction lens for the viewfinder. I am hoping to find such a chart for Olympus which says it uses -0.5 standard correction. I don’t think simple math works the same way. As full service camera shops where you could try them until you found the right one are no longer within driving distance any more,. everything has to be done by mail order. Any help would be appreciated R Molson
