    Unhappy Shipping Film Overseas

I'm heading for Japan and intend to ship my (unexposed) film ahead of me and then ship the (exposed) film back home when I'm finished. This will reduce the airport hassles, hopefully reduce the radiation exposure of the film, and will reduce the volume of "stuff" that I'll be carting with me.

Does anyone know what UPS or FedEX do with overseas parcels? Do they x-ray them or subject them to other potentially harmful radiation? If yes, can one make special arrangements to avoid x-rays by going through something like a hand-packing exercise with the shipping office? What is the best option here?

    Cool

    (a) best to simply check directly with FedEx & UPS
    (b) I think the best option would be to simply buy the film you need in Japan, and have it processed before you leave.
