    Scanning pictures, **blech** colour!

Hi, I've got me an old school nikon film SLR, I use ISO 100 Fuji Previa film. When I get them developed (glossy prints), the colours are great. Scan them in with my HP Scanjet 2200c scanner and I wonder where's the love! The vibrancy, it's all gone! I scan them in at 300dpi, tiff files. Do I need to adjust them in photoshop?

Here are two similar shots, one digi, the other film. The rider is a gent by the name of Danny Brody.

21 is film, the other is digi, nikon coolpix 4500, wide angle lense, shutter 1/500, ISO 100.

    Thanks
