    Photoshop Color Issue

I hate to dredge up the past here, but last October I had an issue with a new installment of CS4. This Is The Thread

The problem that I had was that CS4 was not rendering the shadow gradients correctly. It was showing color banding instead of shadows. I was told this was because I have a cheap LCD, this was not the case. I figured up a setting that fixed the issue. But I can't remember what it was. Can any of you guys think of what it might have been. This problem exists in PS, Bridge, and ACR. I just had to reinstall windows and I find myself in the same position.

    Thanks guys.

I suggest trying a different monitor first, if this all started happening after a monitor change then try something else. I like the way my LG 24 inch handles the colors. Also running on HDMI here and I get good color balance. Come to think of it, I had a 19 inch dell LCD and hated it for gaming and photoshop.

Do you have a second, default color profile in Start Up that is over-riding your calibration? - TF

    Re: Photoshop Color Issue

Question? Did the image come from the camera or was scaned as a JPG? If so you will have to edit the shadows to fix the JPG artifacts.

If its a RAW file, update your CS RAW plugin.
